The University of Brighton and Age Concern Brighton, Hove & Portslade have collaborated on a report, “Well-being in old age: findings from participatory research”. The report, published in 2012 takes its starting point as ” … the recognition that human beings need others in order to survive and flourish. It identifies the universal need for care and explores the ethical as well as practical meanings of care giving and care receiving” (p. 1).
